To assist operators in leveraging smart technologies to create efficient and resilient precision fisheries production models, the Department of Industrial Technology of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Chinese Taipei, is supporting the Industrial Technology Research Institute and the Metal Industries Research & Development Center. They are developing a Precision fishery AIoT value-added system that integrates AI and sensing technology for automatic fish exploration, analysis of fish hotspots, automatic water quality testing, and intelligent fish feeding activities. These functions are being practically applied in pelagic fisheries and aquaculture to reduce environmental damage while enhancing the efficiency and quality of fishery exploration and aquaculture. Additionally, with the support of APEC PPSTI, they are organizing the "APEC Forum on Building Precision Fishery Model Cases in the APEC Region with Smart Technology."

This forum focuses on the application and innovation of smart fisheries technology among APEC economies. It will center around three perspectives: "Technology Application and Blue Economy Development," "Building a Sustainable and Resilient Blue Granary with Smart Technologies," and "Driving Fishery Innovation through Digital Transformation." APEC economies and domestic and foreign experts are invited to share successful experiences in the development and application of smart fisheries technology in various regions.
